How to Build a Wooden Double Garage
If only a Timber Garage could be installed this quickly!
This particular Timber Garage is a Double Bay Garage with one set of standard double doors on one side and a standard garage window and personnel door in the other. A building of this size has a heavy duty truss in the centre with 125mm x 50mm purlins spaced every 600mm. The roof boards are made from moisture resistant OSB and there are a range of roof coverings available including heavy duty felt, felt tiles, Onduline, a metal roof, Cedar shingles or Tapco Slate.
A standard install takes around a day depending on the roof covering and size but generally the building is designed and pre-manufactured to be installed in just one day!
The structure of the walls includes 100mm x 38mm framing, 16mm nominal tanalised cladding, a vapour barrier which is sandwiched under a 4mm ply lining.
