Mrs M was looking for a bespoke garden room that would allow an area for her and her husband to relax in the garden with an internal garden room for cooler evenings and a veranda which is in a perfect position for the evening sunshine. With our brief and working with the customers design ideas this is what we created……..

This contemporary garden building is constructed using an external vertical cedar cladding (an up-grade) and a vapour barrier to ensure any damp is kept out of the building.  The walls are constructed using a 75mm x 38mm timber frame, 50mm Celotex in the roof and walls (70mm up-grade available) and 15mm inner lined grooved birch ply panels to finish the walls. The total thickness of the walls are 100mm which lends itself to all year round use.  The floor is manufactured using heavy duty bearers, 75mm Celotex and a 15mm ply floor with a engineered laminate floor which is hard wearing and easy to clean and comes in 4 colours, please contact us for laminate floor options.

The roof is insulated and comes with an inner ply, metal roof covering, underfelt and internal spot lights or flush LED light panels, In this example the garden room has spot lights and there are deck lights to the front overhang and in the ceiling of the cedar clad veranda.
Within the electrics pack there is a consumer unit, 3 double sockets (brushed stainless or white) and a double gand switch with deck lights in the 400mm over hang to the front of the building and above the veranda.
This particular model is 6.2m wide x 3.0m deep which is split into a 3.8m wide insulated garden room and 2.4m veranda with composite decking. With two sets of French doors, side lights and a vent window in anthracite grey this garden room has plenty of light and ventilation. The exterior cladding is 18mm vertical cedar on all elevations including the ceiling of the veranda.
