Outside Saunas Bournemouth. This project just goes to show what can be achieved by the design ideas of a customer working with Garden Retreat. Mr & Mrs C-B had different requirements for a garden building, one wanted a sauna and the other wanted a gym so we designed the building in conjunction with a local company who installed the sauna.

The sauna room has been positioned to the back right hand corner with a door to ensure the heat is kept in one place and provides a private space. The remainder of the building is a gym to enable the whole family to train in a warm and contemporary space.

This contemporary garden building is constructed using an external vertical cedar cladding  (an up-grade) and a vapour barrier to ensure any damp is kept out of the building.  The walls are constructed using a 75mm x 38mm timber frame, 50mm Celotex in the roof and walls and 15mm inner lined grooved birch ply panels to finish the walls. The total thickness of the walls are 100mm which lends itself to all year round use.  The floor is manufactured using heavy duty bearers, 75mm Celotex and a 15mm ply floor with a engineered laminate floor which is hard wearing and easy to clean and comes in 4 colours, please contact us for laminate floor options.

The roof is insulated and comes with an inner ply, metal roof covering, underfelt and internal spot lights or flush LED light panels, however we installed additional wiring to power the sauna and provide a separate light switch and lights. Also within the electrics pack there is consumer unit, 3 double sockets (brushed stainless or white) and a switch in the gym area. We also install sockets with built in USB charging points which is very useful and this building also has external spots to light up the front of the building.

This particular model was supplied with one set of 1200mm wide anthracite grey uPVC multi-lock French doors, four 600mm anthracite grey uPVC sidelights to the front and two 600mm sidelights which provides a modern look and lots of light.  In addition, it has a 900mm x 500mm vent window the the right hand elevation for ventilation.  The building is designed to be modular so during the ordering process you have the opportunity to choose where you want the windows and doors to be.
